Summer may be fading away, but it doesn’t mean that the party is over. The South Liverpool Surveyor has compiled a list of its three favourite bars on Lark Lane for your indulgence and highly recommends you get out there and try them for yourself. Not only that but we want you to find your own favourites that might be right next to ours and share them with us. So here are our top three bars off of Lark Lane and we hope you enjoy.

1. Keith's Food and Wine Bar

If you’re looking to ease your way into the night, I'd highly recommend stepping foot into this fantastic bar. For some, there may be hesitation walking into the warn down front door, but for most who I have seen come in they were running in to fill the antique furnished couches spread out across the bar. Food options are also fantastic here ranging from spectacular English breakfasts to piping hot soups, also filling and delicious mains. But we’re not here to talk about the food we’re after the other half of the title. Wine. And there’s lots of it, a whole wall listed of them in fact. From fruity to dry, and sweat to smooth, you’ll have to come back a few times to finish the list and even then, I can’t promise you will remember the times before. The patrons always bring a smile to my face, as the bar always brings in unique individuals who can fill your ears with such interesting tales and information. For me, it’s a must-stop when I start the night down on Lark Lane.

2. Lost in Lark Lane

This amazing bar/coffee shop is perfect on both ends of the spectrum. If you’re looking for a peaceful morning to chill out or get some work done, then the Zen full atmosphere at Lost certainly won’t disappoint. On the other scale of things however, if you’re looking for where the party starts on the lane then look no further. With beautifully vibrant cocktails up for grabs and pints that will quench your thirst, this place embodies the party. On most weekends there will be a live act on, normally a DJ with always a great selection of sing-alongs. The atmosphere is always stunning, and I definitely recommend going down for a night you won’t forget soon.

3. The Lodge

One spot I’d say I’ve definitely spent many evenings just enjoying the lovely setting and great company in, is The Lodge. With a luxurious local feel and great service, you couldn’t feel more at home if you tried. There is always a spoiling for choice here as the food selection from breakfast to dinner is splendid. I can’t forget to mention the selection of events they have, from jazz nights on Mondays to Wednesday quiz nights and weekend live music. The place is also dog-friendly, so you’ll find all sorts of furry friends in the Lodge. A lot more of a mellow pub compared to others on Lark Lane but definitely not one to miss out on either. Spending time inside the cosy pub or out in the beer garden is sure to bring you a good time whether it’s a lovely meal you’re after or a nice pint on a relaxing day. The Lodge lets you take your pick and so you should.

The list was incredibly tight for us and we hope you enjoyed and agreed with us. But the great thing about the Lane is that if you didn’t agree there’s always the place next door that might strike your fancy.
