Kellie O’Hanlon, a resident of Aigburth Liverpool, has been creating art since she was 11 years of age.
She originally started drawing as it was a: “Distraction from a somewhat turbulent period at home.”
Kellie is a third-year fine art student at Liverpool John Moore's University who has a passion for art therapy.
In the past two years Kellie has specialised in oil paintings and mixed media, she recently created an oil portrait and incorporated sewing and threads.

Kellie claims her aim when creating art is to: “Make pieces as colourful and vibrant as possible.”
A noted inspiration of Kellie’s is Keith Herring who was a contemporary pop artist and an activist from the states in the 80’s.
A particular inspiration of his career was his charitable donations, which Kellie also does.
Per each painting she sells, Kellie donates 10% of the profits to the Teapot Trust.
The Teapot Trust is a charity which provides mental health support for children, young people and families living with chronic conditions.
Last year alone they provided over 3,200 hours of art therapy.
Kellie chose this charity as she resonates with their aims because she started creating art at a young age as a form of therapy.
As Kellie has grown older, she now sees art as more than just a distraction, she describes it as: “Everything to her.”
Within the next few years, she hopes to become a secondary school art teacher and she hopes to remain creating art people love whilst supporting herself and charities.
In a few weeks time Kellie will be selling her art at the Mystical Moon Makers Market on Saturday 11th November, which will be situated in the Adelphi Hotel, L3 5UL.
Current pieces of work Kellie’s advertising are: ‘The Girl With a Pearl Earring’, ‘Self Portrait With Thorn Necklace and Humming Bird’, ‘The Mona Lisa’, and ‘Self Portrait.’
