South Liverpool Surveyor take a winters walk around the much loved Sefton Park. Exploring the outdoors, breathing in fresh air, and making lots of friends along the way.


Here is a collection of wintery images from our walk around Sefton Park; a collection of majestic scenery, popular landmarks and adorable animals.


Sefton Park Palm House - 'The Jewel of Sefton Park'

Sefton Park Palm House was a gift to the city by local benefactor Henry Yates Thompson.

It first opened in 1896 and became a popular attraction.

Waterfalls - 'A place with a whole lot of history'

New lakes, waterfalls, and pedesestrianised walkways attract millions of vistors each year from all across the globe.

The Band Stand - 'Music and Memories'

A stand where great music has been played and memories have been made.

Over decades of life and 'the bandstand still stands strong'.

Black Egret - 'A majestic character'

A Black Egret, also known as a Black Heron, has a well known habit of using its wings to form a canopy.

Water Fountain - 'Festive Scenery'

The frost has begun biting the trees forcing the leaves to fall and at last winter has arrived at the beatiful Sefton Park.

A single Duck - 'An array of ducks and geese in Winter'

On the 21st December, Sefton Park are holding a free Big Garden Birdwatch to help the RSPB build a picture of garden wildlife across the UK.

A Squirrel - 'A member of the family'

When you visit Sefton Park, you will have seen the amount of innocent, friendly squirrels who live in the heart of Sefton Park. You'll often see them running around or making chirping noises from the branches above.

Sefton Park Lake - 'Arguably the most loved park by locals'

The Grade One listed Sefton Park is a magnificent 200-acres.

Most would argue that it looks more like a natrual landscape than a man-made park.
